I'll spell it out for you.

I've seen your town and fallen in love with your building upon the hill. I've spent the night in smoky rooms, gone drinking with most unsavory sorts, and seen the dark underbelly of the city split wide open, entrails spilling, and fought off advances over bubble tea and tempura dinners. I've seen darkness turn to black and I know better than they ever will the reasons why you had to get away.

More than this, I know that it's still home, first to you and now to us both, and I will keep your longing for it buried deep within my heart, this secret draw to a city far too full of secrets to be anyone's friend.
